Australian Gold Assets

Tamar also holds a minority interest (49%) in the Specimen Hill copper-gold project through its 100% owned Australian subsidiary, Signature Gold Pty Ltd. This discovery was made by previous management at Tectonic Gold and is now being farmed out to ASX listed White Energy Group (ASX: WEC) who are advancing the project. Tamar retains a 3% royalty in perpetuity over the project and is due an A$2 million cash payment on completion of the farm out.

Project Highlights

An underexplored area for copper containing many historic copper/magnetite workings with copper reported to 45% Cu, and gold production of over 8000oz at grades of up to 40g/t Au
Located within a major crustal scale structural corridor able to provide a source of mineralised fluids with migration pathways to surface/sub-surface zones.
Initial White Energy mapping confirms a potentially large and complex mineral system with a number of outcropping zones of copper mineralization. Rock chipping, geophysics and soil sampling confirm extensive zones reporting multi-element geochemical signatures, that demonstrate a number of characteristics shown by porphyry/IOCG/skarn intrusive style systems.

A detailed Heli-mag survey has been completed, and old access tracks have been restored for access. New geochemistry, geophysics and geological mapping has commenced across 10 priority areas defined by the new magnetic and geochemical programs.

Project Location

The Specimen Hill Project lies within the New England Fold Belt, locally poorly explored for copper, but regionally, surrounded by major copper and gold mines including Mt Morgan, Cracow, Mt Rawdon and Gympie. Previously recognized porphyry systems at Coalstoun Lakes and Briggs, to the east and north of the Biloela project, represent large lower grade copper mineral systems.
